The HTPA60x40d thermopile infrared array sensor pushes the limits of low-resolution infrared sensing. With its 45 µm pixel pitch and wafer-level vacuum package it is fast and highly sensitive. With this high performance, a high quality and digital signal output, our new thermopile infrared array with 60x40 pixels inside a TO-39 metal housing can be seen as a benchmark for thermopile infrared array technology. With the integrated optical lens, fields of view of 92x60° or 38x25° can be achieved. The HTPA60x40d is perfectly designed to fit the gap between the 32x32d and 80x64d sensors and can be used for
person detection in smart building applications.
Due to the digital SPI interface, only six pins are needed for operation. The built-in flash memory stores calibration data, and the integrated ADC has 16-bit resolution. Framerates of 21 Hz to 126 Hz result, depending on the chosen ADC resolution. True shutterless and uncooled operation of the thermopile array ensures very low power consumption with a high performance.
